What have we done to ourselves?

To our bodies, to nature, to our future?

We’ve contaminated it all.

That is the regrettable conclusion I’ve realized after researching PFAS chemicals. For 97% of us, our hearts don’t pump blood—instead, microplastics, forever chemicals, and other forms of pollution flow in our disfigured veins. The same contamination found in the trash we dump in our oceans, which inevitably finds its way into sealife, and eventually our stomachs. It's a treacherous cycle— one none of us are safe from. If we don’t end it, we will all be consumed by it. Until we are all twisted.

Modern Beauty shows this future. Someone whose form has been corroded just as much as the dead fish and trash surrounding them. Their reflection in the poison they drown in.
