I captured this want, this inescapable need, in Contain the Sun. Global warming is being stopped not by machines, technology, or even policy, but by divine intervention, as two hands clasp around the sun. However comforting as it is to live in these fantasies, at some point, we have to confront reality: global warming won’t stop itself.
